Three Advices of the day!

First:

To test the wits of the toddlers you can give them coloring puzzles. Let them first try to complete the puzzles and then color them once done. Since toddlers hold a perspective of what color an image should have, let them do the color they like. However, as they advance, try to push them to make the coloring resemble the actual looks of the thing represented by the images in the coloring books.

Second:

Once they are done, we often grab our child safe scissors and cut out the figures on the pages. From there we have the choice of putting them up around the house or adding them into a scrapbook. Trust me once they start scrapbooking these, you will end up with loads of books full of pictures which you will treasure more and more as they grow up. I intend to try and embarrass my kids with these on their future wedding days!

Third advice:

A lot of the activities kids do these days are very expensive or very hard for me to join in with. For example, I certainly can't skateboard, I can't swim and I definitely do not know how to use a PC or Xbox to play games. I am lost when it comes to computers, I really am. I know it is inevitable that as my son grows that he will soon enough be wanting to do things on his own and being seen with his dad would be grounds for teasing from his friends so I am making a huge effort to spend as much free time as I can with him now and really make every moment count. They say time is the most precious gift you can give to a youngster and I am trying hard to live by that. It seems increasingly hard to find activities that Fathers can do with their little ones. Mums seem to get most of the fun.
